Turno vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon

€ 17,00Price

Turno is the name of the 25 years old, organically farmed vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon, with northeast exposure. Grapes are destemmed, and berries are moved to macerate in vinificators, where fermentation starts spontaneously. After its conclusion, they wait for another week before gently pressing the now young wine, which is then moved with fine lees in French oak barriques.

The wine matures there for 18 months with batonnage, undergoing malolactic fermentation. Finally, it is bottled and waits patiently in the cellar for six months before coming to the market. This is the current vintage that was released in December 2020.

Cabernet Sauvignon Turno displays a deep, ruby red colour with a dense texture.

We detect ripe berries, blueberries, black currants, even plums. Fruit notes allure us into hints of black pepper, forest undergrowth, brown leaves, liquorice, coffee, a gentle note of wood, as well as leather and a slight hint of smoke.

We detect softness on the palate. The alcohol is nicely incorporated into the structure of the wine. It pleasantly refreshes us, following with pleasant velvety tannins, which are slowly rounding off. Elegance is fill-rouge to Movia as it is in this Cabernet Sauvignon Turno, displaying a full-bodied and long-lasting persistency, which predominantly reflects its fruitiness.
